Happiness Is Embracing Our Green Thumbs in Jacksonville, FL

As many of you know, I love spending sun-shiny days with my wife Sima in our Jacksonville, Florida garden. We’ve been avid gardeners for nearly 50 years and have shared so much fun getting plenty of Vitamin N (nature) together. We’ve been blessed with a nice sized lot in marvelous Mandarin that provides plenty of space to grow many of our favorite fruit-bearing trees, veggies, herbs and ornamental flowers all year. Lately we’ve had tons of fun each day harvesting tropical papayas from trees that we started with seeds of store-bought fruit. And wow! Before we knew it, dozens of trees popped up. If you want some young papaya trees, just give me a shout. I love to share. Last week we also had a gorgeous harvest of broccoli that overfilled a 5-gal. bucket. And there’s a lot more to come. I think we might qualify for federal designation as a National Strategic Reserve for broccoli!
