It was a fantastic day at Camp Sheves Achim in Jacksonville! Campers of all ages decorated and painted wooden mezuzah cases by adding their personal touches to their works of art. It was so beautiful to see the wide-eyed enthusiasm of the kids as they selected colors and designs. Each camper was encouraged to add their own creative flare and personality. This was no doubt a special moment for all the campers. Eliyahu (Art) Rosenthal, our community’s special artisan and go-to-guy for youth crafting sponsored and organized the event. Eliyahu hand-selected and pre-cut the lengths of wood; and carefully shaped and sanded every mezuzah case with personal care for each of the 40 campers.Thank you Mr. Rosenthal for always organizing such great craft projects for our kids!
