Reaching a New Peak Atop Jacksonville’s New Kollel

Our special corner of the Sunshine State is becoming brighter and brighter with the eternal light of Torah!  Jacksonville’s first kollel was dedicated March 21 in a newly renovated building on Crown Point Rd.

The kollel will be the center of Jewish learning, scholarship and community outreach. Day and night, it will serve as a beacon of Jewish education for the entire community. Classes, individual and small group studies will meet the needs of those on all levels of observance and knowledge. The kollel will help serve as a magnet of Jewish education and community growth.

This is a major stepping stone in Jacksonville’s Jewish destiny. Our community has a complete Jewish infrastructure including multiple minyanim, an eruv, mikvahs, day school, a new high school, daily learning throughout the metro area, summer camp, restaurants and local kashrut supervision. The kollel will be an additional source of vitality that will boost the entire community to new heights.

Yasher Koach to Rabbi Yaakov Fisch, Senior Rabbi of Etz Chaim Synagogue. Rav Fisch has been the quiet, steady, guiding inspiration who energized the foundation of Jacksonville’s first kollel.  At the dedication, Rabbi Fisch gently  noted that our entire community will benefit by the Kollel’s outreach programs and touch the lives of us all, building bridges of unity, energy and closeness among Jacksonville’s vibrant Jewish community.
