Jacksonville rising up in the ranks as the perfect place to retire

Looking to retire to the good life? Well folks, come on down to the Sunshine state! Greater Jacksonville shot up the charts to No. 6 on U.S. News’ Best Places to retire for 2020, from No. 24 last year. While housing affordability is a major player, there is more to the story. U.S. News states the city “offers a range of culturally and aesthetically diverse neighborhoods surrounding downtown.” Jax is also noted in this good-news story for having great shopping, wonderful entertainment, diverse outdoor activities, a booming economy and a lively arts community.

In April, Forbes also gave the Jacksonville area a boost for those looking for a great place to spend the golden years, ranking our town No. 25 nationally on its Best Places to Retire list.

Retirees looking at Northeast Florida will discover housing affordability compares very favorably to other parts of the state and country. Want to learn more? Contact me. I’d love to show you my favorite town!
